Dr Mitch Bassett
Chiropractor/Owner
Mitch grew up in the goldfields and moved to Perth to Study chiropractic at Murdoch university, graduating in 2010 with a bachelor of science and a bachelor of chiropractic. He went on to work in Kalgoorlie for 5 years before moving to Esperance to take over Bay of Isles Chiropractic in 2015. He has a special interest in treating headaches, sports injuries, geriatrics, general musculoskeletal pain and has post-grad qualifications in pregnancy musculoskeletal management. He also has a special interest in managing tendon pathologies, and has heavily invested in laser and shockwave technologies at the clinic. In his spare time, you'll find him at the beach or watching footy and spending time with his wife of 13 years and his wo kids Judd and Nash.
Derek Clarke
Occupational Therapist
Derek graduated from Curtin university in 1992. He moved to Esperance and started working at Bay of Isles Chiropractic in 1995 and has been here ever since. Derek has been married to his wife Michelle for 29 years and has two children, Amy and Ben. Together, the family are avid partakers at the Bijou theatre, starring in various plays. Sport and exercise plays a large role in their lives as well, with Basketball and soccer taking up a large chunk of their time where Derek has volunteered as a coach/coordinator.
Derek's treatment focus is soft tissue injury management and treats people of all ages and backgrounds.
Dr Kieren Lowicki
Chiropractor
Kieren grew up in Karratha, before moving to Perth for schooling. He graduated from Murdoch university in 2021 with a bachelor of chiropractic and bachelor of science. He moved to Esperance straight after graduating to take up a role at Bay of Isles Chiropractic. Kieren has a special interest in treating sports injuries, general musculoskeletal pain and has post grad qualifications in pregnancy musculoskeletal care.
In his spare time, you'll find him often at blue Haven with his partner Amy, drinking coffee and watching footy, including his local team the Esperance bulldogs.
Kate Bassett
Practice Manager/Owner
Kate and Mitch met at university, where Kate was studying teaching and Mitch was in his second last year of chiropractic. After a 5 year stint in Kalgoorlie, they moved to Esperance in 2015 with their Son Judd, whilst pregnant with their second son Nash. She has been our practice manager working hard behind the scenes to make sure the clinic runs smoothly. You'll find her in the clinic 3 mornings a week. In her spare time, you'll find her at the beach with the family, collecting shells.
Naomi Milverton
Receptionist
Naomi has lived in Esperance since 2004. She is married to her husband Michael of 25 years and has 4 children. She loves the coastal lifestyle Esperance has to offer, particularly camping at various beaches. When not working or camping, you'll find her consuming coffee of the best variety! Naomi started working at Bay of isles Chiropractic in 2016 and is not allowed to ever leave!
Kylie Francis
Receptionist
Born in QLD, Kylie came to WA for a holiday in 1999 and hasn't looked back. She moved to Esperance in 2004 where she married her Husband Bruce and had 2 children, who are now grown up themselves.
Her hobbies include sewing, coffee and cruises.
Kylie started working at Bay of Isles Chiropractic in 2024 and is a rockstar receptionist.
