Mitch Bassett - Chiropractor

Dr Mitch Bassett B.Sc, B.Chiro. Chiropractor and owner of Bay of Isles Chiro. A Goldfields born and bred, Mitch moved to Perth to study his 5 year chiropractic degree at Murdoch University in Perth in 2006. He graduated in 2010 and has since been practicing in Kalgoorlie and Esperance. Married to his wife Kate, they have two kids Judd and Nash.

Mitch became a chiropractor because it worked for him - “I suffered a lot of back and leg pain from playing sport, chiropractic was the best way to manage my injury and minimise my pain. It kept me functioning when other therapy couldn’t”.

Derek Clarke - Occupational Therapist

Derek initially chose to study Occupational Therapy at Curtain University, as he was interested in paediatrics and working with children with disabilities / learning disorders. By the fourth year of study, his area of interest changed to pain management and subsequently he did a research thesis on the application of myofascial therapy to improve pain and mobilty for people with Parkinson's Disease.

Having graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Occupational Therapy) in 1992, Derek moved to Esperance in 1995 to join the Bay of Isles Chiropractic team.

Kate Bassett - Business Owner / Manager

Kate is the Business Owner and Manager of Bay of Isles, Chiropractic Centre. She is also Mitch's wife, and mother of their 2 children.
Kate does an amazing job at keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes.
